A day with the Robinsons

Today couldn't have been any better. It was so much fun!! It started out with going to the Hogle Zoo with Doug, Heather, Chelsea, Elizabeth and Andrew. The zoo isn't very big, so we made it through in about 2 hours. Luckily, we went early in the morning because it was 100 degrees outside and the afternoon wouldn't have been as fun with that heat! It was so much fun to watch Elizabeth get excited about each animal and tell us what each of the animals said. After getting through about half of the park, we came across the carousel. Heather asked Elizabeth who she wanted to go on the carousel with her and she said "Aunt Lindsay!" So of course that made my day! We checked out all the animals while waiting in line and with a little help from dad standing at the gate she chose the Lion. Elizabeth LOVED the carousel. She kept telling me "Fun!" and then waved to everyone when we would pass them. I seriously could never get enough of this girl!! :) Because of the heat and walking around we had to take a quick water break and we sure did enjoy the shade! There wasn't much shade around the zoo, so we took advantage while we could! After the zoo Heather and I took the kids swimming at my pool. Elizabeth was a fish and Andrew seemed to really enjoy the water also. I wasn't sure how he would like it, since hes only 8 weeks, but he did awesome! We were swimming for almost 2 hours and Elizabeth could have stayed for another 2 hours! She kept jumping off the side and then when she realized she could touch the bottom, she wanted to slide in all by herself. So you would think after all this fun the day would be over right?! Wrong! :) Tomorrow is Heather's 26th birthday so Chelsea and I said we would watch the kids if they wanted to go out. They took us up on the offer so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese. Elizabeth had never been to Chuck E Cheese, but was still pretty excited. It had been long day though and she was really tired. She got a short nap on the way home from the zoo, but after getting home she didn't go back to bed. Chelsea and I had to run an errand before going to Chuck E Cheese and Elizabeth and Andrew both fell asleep. We decided to go to Chuck E Cheese anyway because it was too early for Elizabeth to be asleep. Chelsea got Elizabeth out of the car and tried to get her really excited about where we were. Elizabeth looked at Chelsea then fell right back to sleep on Chelsea's hand. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen! Elizabeth finally woke up when we walked into Chuck E Cheese and she saw all the fun rides and things to do. While waiting for our pizza there was music and a little show going on. Elizabeth was up and the front dancing her little heart out. She just couldn't get enough! She got to meet Chucky, which I wasn't sure if she would be afraid of him or really enjoy him and she seemed to really enjoy him. She talked to him, waved to him and thanked him for the picture. :) What a polite little girl! The night was full of fun games and rides. Thanks Aunt Chelsea for all your help! Andrew also was a fantastic baby through out the whole night. I think I saw more smiles from him today than I've ever seen. What cute kids Doug and Heather have! :) After the really fun day it was really easy to put Elizabeth down for bed! Here are a few more pictures from Chuck E Cheese....not that you guys haven't seen enough already, I'm sure :) I just cant get enough of these two adorable kids! I don't know what I'm going to do when they move to Arizona! Its going to be so hard! I'll miss them a ton! I will also miss Doug and Heather and I have no idea what I'm going to do with out them!! There are WAY too many pictures through out the whole day to post on here, Surprise Surprise, so if you have any interest in looking at all of them here is the link...http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLandingSignin.jsp?Uc=p6u0ey2.9ck5lopu&Uy=-z12xuh&Upost_signin=Slideshow.jsp%3Fmode%3Dfromshare&Ux=0&UV=852981411232_646147598306&localeid=en_US

Some of them I talk to all the time, and some of them I dont talk to as much, but my life wouldn't be the same without them!! I hope you all have wonderful birthdays!! Happy birthday to Katie, Ronda and Sione (July 22), Chris (July 23), Missy and Ashlyn (July 24), Parker (July 25), Rachel (July 26), Heather (July 27), Tara (July 28), Elizabeth and Lindsey (July 29) and Kevin (July 30). I dont have pictures of everyone, but here are a few pictures of some of the above people :)

A pain in the neck...literally!

After Lake Arrowhead I was in a TON of pain. My neck was killing me and I could barley move it. While up in Arrowhead I ate it pretty bad while wakeboarding. I layed in the water waiting for Stephen to come pick me up and that was the end of that run. My neck was pretty stiff after, but of course I'm not going to let that slow me down! I'm sure I didn't help the situation with a few more runs that trip and sleeping funny in the car ride back to Utah . After getting back to Utah my neck only seemed to get worse instead of better. My roommate is a massage therapist so I had her work on my neck two days in a row, which also didn't help. After it causing headaches and making me nauseous because it hurt so bad I finally went to the chiropractor to find out that I had gotten whiplash and had some ligament damage in my neck. He told me that I was going to have to go in a couple times a week for treatment for at least a month or two and that I couldn't run. That just killed my day because we all know how much I love running. :) LOL!!! Ok so lets be honest, I'm not much of a runner, but I have been training for a 5K up in SLC that I've really been looking forward to. I now cant do this run because of my neck. I know there will be many more to come, but this one sounded like a lot of fun!! Because I cant run, its gotten me in the water again and I've realized how much I miss it. I went and swam for about an hour yesterday, and boy did it kick my butt! It was a great workout and I'll be doing that a lot more now! So I guess there is some good to not being able to run :) My neck is doing a lot better since the chiropractor, but I still have a long way to go. Hopefully it will heal fast and I'll be back to being able to do anything I want soon!

A well needed vacation!

I planned a Lake Arrowhead trip way back in February because you cant go the summer without at least one Arrowhead trip!! It would be a SIN if you missed a summer! One thing I really miss about living in California, besides my family and friends, is being so close to the lake! I have been going to Lake Arrowhead every summer for as long as I can remember. I have so many great memories up there and this past trip added many more. I had a lot of friends and family that were able to come up for the weekend and I probably haven't laughed like I did in a long time! Nothing beats going to bed early, sleeping in, relaxing and skiing/wakeboarding all day, having no cares in the world, laughing until you're crying, and being with the people that you love! It was a vacation that I really needed!!

One of my family traditions, that I think Mom started a few years ago, is going to get Thriftys ice cream every night while you're there, so of course we had to carry on the tradition! Nothing beats Chocolate Malted Crunch and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream after a long day in the sun!!
Another tradition with Katie...ok well we're making it a tradition, is the night dive. Last time Katie was in Arrowhead, which was a few years ago, me, my dad and Katie went down to the Lake for a night dive. We did rock, paper, scissors to find out who would jump in first. Katie lost and had to make the first dreaded jump. I will never forget watching Katie walk to the edge of the dock and start screaming. Dad and I couldn't do much other than sit there and laugh :) After a good 3-5 minutes she finally jumped in. Because that night was so much fun we, of course, had to do it again! Too bad Dad couldn't have been there! Here are a few pictures from the night dive.

After 4 days of skiing and enjoying everyones company we were able to go to Huntington Beach to visit the rest of the family who had been on a cruise to Alaska. It was so much fun being together as a family!! Throughout the whole trip there were over 300 pictures taken (and for once it wasn't just me that went crazy) so here are a few of my favorites :) ENJOY

Getting with the times

Many of my friends and family have blogs so I thought it was finally time to catch up with the times. I'm FAR from creative, not a great writer, my life seems boring compared to everyone one elses when I read their blogs, and I have no idea how do make this page cute, but I'll keep experimenting! :) I don't even know if I'm doing this right :) Pictures and an updated page are soon to come! :)
