I can have a pretty competitive side to me. I don’t like it to come out a lot because I seem to get pretty frustrated when it does come out. I’ve played on the same inner tube water polo team for the past 2 years now. Not once has my really competitive side come out...until last night. Last night it came out in FULL FORCE! I honestly don’t think this side has come out like this since I played water polo in High School. It for sure has shown through, but not like it did last night. The trash talking from me almost started and that VERY RARELY ever happens. My brother, Stephen, even had to calm me down a few times. Usually it’s the other way around with us.
In the first 30 seconds of the game, one of the other players lied to the ref about tipping the ball that Stephen had just shot (they are playing for BYU, so they are under the HONOR code, which they were not following at all. It’s only because I was mad that I pulled the honor code comment LOL) Stephen then called her on her lie and since Stephen called her on her lying the ref gave him a warning. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The other team was doing things to our team and then we would be the ones to get the call for it (which happened to me and I was NOT happy), the guys (on the other team) would then flirt with the refs to get on their good side; they just did not have good sportsmanship at all! The guy that was guarding me tried to turn everything around on me and say “we’re just having fun,” “it’s just a game,” “don’t take this so serious” yet he was the one playing dirty and he was the one doing things you’re not supposed to do when the ref wasn’t looking. I’m almost glad he made those comments because that just fired me up even more.
The first half of the game we were pretty much neck and neck. After half time, we came back and killed them. I think how ticked we were might have helped us out a little bit. If it didn’t help anyone else, it sure helped me! If I saw ANY opportunity to shoot, I took it. Thank goodness for Chelsea who also plays on offense with me. I think we both only had 1 or 2 missed goals last night. We were on FIRE!! Also, thank goodness to all my friends who were there supporting the team. They found my frustration hilarious so every time I would look up in the stands I would start laughing. Good thing I had them there to calm me down a little bit
Since we won this game, we go on in the tournament. I’m not sure what we’re ranked, but before the tournament started we were 8th out of 100. Let’s hope we go further in the tournament and that my competitiveness and frustration stays under wrap :)

The Big Book of Exercises
I was re-subscribing to my favorite magazine, Women's Health, a few weeks ago and came across a book called The Big Book of Exercises. The book sounded interesting to me, but I really didn't want to spend my money on it. As I was trying to finish my subscription it wouldn’t let me finish without saying YES or NO to adding this book to my order. I hit NO probably a good 5-10 times and the page, of course, had an error so wouldn’t proceed. I knew that my order for the magazine wouldn’t process without getting to the next page, but I really didn’t want to click that YES button. Finally I clicked on YES and wouldn’t you know it, I got a receipt that said “Your order has been processed.” I was kind of annoyed that I just spent $25 on top of my subscription to a book, that as much as I thought it sounded interesting, I didn’t want. I looked for a customer service number to call and cancel the order of the book and also to let them know that their NO button was conveniently not working, but you can’t get a customer service number without having a bar code from the back of your magazine.
After waiting 2 weeks I finally got the book in the mail. I cannot even tell you how glad I am that I had to click that dang YES button. This book is amazing!! The books tells me why I should do weights, it answers a ton of questions about weight training, it gives “the world’s greatest 4 week diet and exercise plan,” a TON of exercises for your chest, back, shoulders, arms, quads, calves, glutes, hamstrings, your core, totally body, and warm up exercises. And then on top of that it gives different cardio workouts, nutrition secrets, and the best workouts for just about everything. I’ve already used the book and I’m so sore today because of it. If anyone comes across this book, I give it a 5 star rating! It’s totally worth every cent!

Racquetball
I have started playing racquetball with a guy in my ward and my roommate. I suck royally!! I have a lot of fun playing, but I really am not good at all. I find it so much fun that we’ve played more than once and I look forward to playing again. One good thing though, Kyle, the guy I play with said I’ve improved 100% from the first time! YAY! If anyone has any good racquetball tips, I’m all ears! Maybe one day I’ll be able to take my mom and dad. Ok, let’s be honest, that will probably NEVER happen because they are so good, but I can dream can’t I?!

To Stay OR Not To Stay
I had a hard time coming back to Utah, because I almost felt like I was coming back to nothing. I kept questioning why I was coming back and what exactly Provo had in store for me. I have been back for 2 nights and they have been 2 really emotional and hard nights for me. Due to things that have happened, it has made me question being here even more. To stay or not to stay is the question.
Spring Break
If everyone in college is getting a Spring Break, then why can't I get a Spring Break from work? :)
There were a lot of people going to Huntington Beach for Spring Break so I also decided to tag along. Jamie, Andrew and I left after work on Wednesday after work and drove through the night. After getting to Huntington Beach at 2:30 am I quickly hopped in bed since I had to be up by 7 to meet everyone at Disneyland.
Thursday and Friday were spent on the beach, riding bikes, watching a surfing contest and hanging out with the family. I had such a hard time coming back to Utah!! I love being home with my family and I'm so grateful for them!

Triple Birthday Party
Steve, Anna and Sara all have birthdays within days of each other, so last night they did a little birthday party for all three of them. I'd say they had a pretty good turn out, since the condo was packed with people. Here are a few pictures from last night. Happy 26th Birthday Stephen and Happy 21st Birthdays Anna and Sara!

Stephen didn't want to get sung to, so he let the girls blow out all the candles

Chinese Doctor
My roommate has been telling me for over a year to go see her doctor, who is a Chinese Doctor and acupuncturist. By the things she's told me about him I thought for sure he was a quack. I've been in so much pain lately, that I'm to the point where I will see just about anyone. Out of the last 6 doctors I've seen, 5 of them haven't been able to tell me anything. The last doctor I went to said he thought I had some bad bacteria in my intestines and to go on a high protein diet. I went on a diet and had no pain at all. As soon as I started adding carbs and other foods back into my diet, was when I started having problems again. Due to having no pain while I was on the diet I wondered if I had celiac disease, so I wanted to get tested or get another doctors opinion.
Because I was in so much pain, I finally broke down and went to see this Chinese doctor. I cannot even begin to explain how insane the whole experience was. We talked for a minute and then he asked to see my hands so he could take my pulse. As he was taking my pulse he asked if he could see my tongue. While he is doing this he tells me that I have inflamed intestines, bacteria in my stomach (which I'm assuming is the same thing as the last doctor said, even though he said it was in my intestines), a slight hormone imbalance, and he even asked if I had Mexican for lunch...which I did. SO CRAZY! This guy was calling everything, I couldn't believe it.
The doctor put me on this Chinese medicine that is NASTY!!! It’s a few powders mixed together that I have to mix with 2 tablespoons of water. When I took it last night, I spit out the first sip due to the nasty taste and also because I started laughing. The second sip I was determined to get down, which I did, but I gagged as I was doing it. I don't know how I'm going to take this medicine twice a day for two weeks. I go back and see the doctor again in two week for a follow up. If everything is working out and I'm feeling ok, I get more medicine. OH JOY!

Sea Creatures Dominate...yet again :)
Last night we had our last game before the tournament starts for the championship. We killed the other team that we played against! I lost track of the score when it was 35-20. Jonny found out where we were seated for the tournament and overall we are ranked 8th out of 100. Lets keep our fingers crossed that we can get further than we did last year!
Don't Mess With Me!!
About 1-2 weeks ago, Justin (a guy in my ward) got a hold of my phone. I didn't really care or think much about it. I don't have anything to hide, so I don't care if people look through my phone. My roommate then says to me "Justin text messaged your ex" (who will remain nameless, just in case. ha ha) I pretty much freaked out because I didn't know or trust what Justin would say.
After getting my phone back I see that all the text messages from that night are gone. Not only had he text messaged my ex and then erased them, he also called him. I then text message my ex and apologize for whatever Justin had said in the texts or the phone call. My ex said that he wasn't able to pick up but that he was "sad" to hear that the call and texts weren't from me. After a little bit of a conversation he then proceeds to tell me that he still has feelings for me and misses me. I pretty much didn't know what to say. He knew I wouldn't feel the same way so why in the world was he telling me this?
A few minutes later I sign on to Facebook and my ex's status was that he had a hot date that next night. I questioned him on the status and why the heck he was texting me the things he was. I got a text back saying he was just trying to make me jealous and that he really didn't have a date. I couldn't believe this. Why in the world would he do that when he knows it wouldn't make me jealous at all?! I then get a text that says "I hated the extended version of BANG tonight" BANG is a game that me and a few friends were playing and I couldn't figure out how in the world he knew we played BANG. It then clicked. I screamed at the top of my lungs and then started busting up. Justin had switched his number with my ex's number. The person I had been texting all night was actually Justin and not my ex.
When you pull something like this on me, it means WAR!! I waited a little over a week so that he wouldn't suspect anything and then posted a personal ad on Craigslist. I put 3 pictures up of Justin and said that he was a fun, outgoing, and goofy guy looking for a girl to have fun and hang out with. I did this last night before I went to bed, and this morning Justin's facebook status was "someone will die...putting an ad on craigslist for me...i am not the person to start wars with" I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. As of this morning he has gotten 7 text messages from girls wanting to meet him. I LOVE IT!! If you mess with me, watch your back :)

My Ward did a talent show on Monday for FHE. Toby asked me to bring my camera so I could record his dance. Little did I know what exactly I would be recording. Its HILARIOUS!

Chuck E Cheeses...
..where a kid can be a kid. :)
Saturday afternoon, after our slumber party we (Steve, Justin, me, Kelly, Doug and Heather) took the kids to Chuck E Cheese so they could get out of the house and have some fun. The kids had a lot of fun, so I'm glad we went!

Slumber Party
I've been promising Elizabeth a sleepover for about a month or so, but I've been gone the past few weekends so it hasn't worked out. This weekend was the perfect weekend for a sleepover! Kelly and Aubrey are staying with me this weekend, so the slumber party couldn't have gotten much better!

Sundance Weekend Getaway
A few of us from the inner tube water polo team got together this weekend and went up to one of the couples family cabin right above Sundance. We left on Friday night after everyone got off of work. The cabin was so big with everything in it that you could imagine. I think we all could have stayed longer and none of us would have gotten bored. After getting settled in, Greg and Kirsten made a fantastic steak and potato dinner for everyone. They totally spoiled us!
After dinner we watched a movie and then we all played MANY rounds of what some people know as "The Couch Game" or what other people know it as "The Name Game." Its a really fun memory game that does take a little strategizing. The girls DOMINATED in this game!! The final score was 10-6 and the boys made up every excuse as to why they didn't win. :) When the boys did win a round we all knew it because there was lots of celebration and dancing going on.
After many rounds of The Name Game a few of us went up to Aspen Grove to see if there would be any fun night sledding, or any fun sledding for the next day. Little did we know we'd run into tons of boy scouts camping there that night so it kind of killed our plans. Its ok though, because we were all in our pajamas :)
The next morning we had such a great breakfast! We brought our Belgian waffle maker up and had waffles with strawberries, home made syrup, whipped cream, bacon and orange juice. YUM!!! After breakfast we watched a little sports center and then went sledding. I have never been sledding on a tube before and I have decided that it's the way to go! You get a lot more speed than anything I've ever been on before.

This weekend was a much needed getaway! I'm so lucky to have such good friends who I always have so much fun with!!

Sea Creatures
We are dominating, yet again, this year! Way to go Sea Creatures! This past game we won by 12 points. Last year we made it to the championships, but then lost by a few points in the first game. We are are determined to go further this year and end up with an intramural t-shirt :)
