Trial Hair and Makeup

Today Katie was getting her trial hair and makeup done for her wedding. When she was done she looked BEAUTIFUL!! She is going to make a gorgeous bride!! Julie needed some models for her up and coming website so she did my hair and makeup as well and then took pictures of me and Katie. I had so much fun playing dress up! :) Here are a few pictures

PS. Don't worry, we do have clothes on in all of the pictures ;)

I'm A Little Bit Country

Tonight me and a few friends went to the Tim McGraw and Lady Atebellum concert, which was an amazing concert!  If anyone ever gets the chance to see either, they are both great performers!!

Girl's Day

Mom, Mady, Kelly and Aubrey all came up to Utah for a few days to drop off Mady at EFY. As soon as they got into town we all put on our bathing suits and headed to Veterans Memorial Pool since it was almost 100 degrees outside.  It was nice just to sit in the water, visit, and watch Aubrey laugh at just about anything we did.  I'm so glad they were able to come and spend a few days up here!
Getting all sunscreened up.  Don't want to get put on sun
restriction :)

I may have taught her to splash...OOPS!  Sorry Kell!  :)

Katie's Bachelorette Party

I have never thrown a Bachelorette Party before, so I was really worried about being Katie's Maid of Honor and having that responsibility. After throwing Katie's this weekend, I would do it again in a heart beat! I had a lot of fun "planning" the whole thing and I've never been so organized in my life about anything! All Katie wanted was a relaxing and fun weekend away, so there wasn't much that I really had to plan. Hence my "planning."

Friday night 5 out of the 10 of us arrived at the Hyatt in Downtown San Diego. We didn't have anything planned that night, other than arriving and getting settled. I did that on purpose, not knowing exactly what time we'd be getting to the hotel. After we all arrived at the hotel, we thought we'd go exploring :) We really liked what we were seeing, so we could wait for the next day when everything was open. .

Doing some exploring of the hotel
Saturday we woke up to a beautiful view of San Diego. I think we got the best side of the hotel for sure. After having a little breakfast we headed down to the gym. This hotel had the biggest and nicest gym I'm ever seen in a hotel before. I love working out with Katie, because we both really push each other! After a nice gym session, that we were both really sore from, it was pool time! We had our own little corner at the pool, which made the pool even nicer. We all had a great time just waiting for more people to show up, laughing and having lunch poolside.
The view from our 31st floor room.   Katie is getting married just to the right of this

Hanging out by the pool

After a nice relaxing afternoon at the pool it was time to get ready for dinner and going out that night. We had so much fun out at dinner and going dancing! We got into all of the clubs for free since it was Katie's bachelorette party. It was SO awesome!

Getting ready to go out
Everyone having their first shot of the night.  Don't worry, my shot is WATER! I was going to take the picture, but the girls really wanted me in it, so the bartender gave me a shot of water.  Got to love it!

A couple of the bridesmaids

All in all I think the weekend went well!  We all had such a fun time together!  Now let the countdown begin until Miss Katelynn Stevens is Mrs. Katelynn Natale!

Moderate? I think NOT

I just found the maps for the Relay to see exactly what I'm going to be running in Sept.  My first leg is supposedly 2.3 moderate miles.  I think moderate is a lie and it should say hard! The description of the run says "run or walk real fast up up and away on a HELLACIOUS climb where you will definitely feel the burn. The average incline is an 11% grade."  I don't think moderate and hellacious belong in the same sentence!  I think hard and hellacious do though!  There is a training tip on the bottom of the map and it says "vertical gain is over 1000 feet on this leg so really walk or run some hills to prepare yourself"  Oh man...I'm not no sure if I'm excited about my legs anymore LOL  :)

Red Rock Relay

I'm doing another relay race in September and I'm so excited!! This race is a little shorter than Ragnar was, but its going to be so much prettier.  We (friends from my ward) will be starting at Brian Head ski resort, running through Dixie National Forest, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Zion National Park, Sand Hollow Reservoir, St. George, and ending in Snow Canyon (which isn't too far from St George).  I'm in van 2 for this relay and my legs are super easy!!  My first leg is a short 2.3 moderate. My second leg is 4.1 easy and my third leg is a 2.9 easy.  Only 9.3 miles total!!  I'm so excited for September!!

Skeet Shooting

The last time I went skeet shooting, was two years ago and I thought I did pretty awesome!!  I hit every clay, but 2.  Little did I know going skeet shooting this week would be a completely different story!  When I went 2 years ago, someone was throwing the clay, which I found out this week, makes it a LOT easier.  This week we went to a range where the clays are thrown by a machine.  Boy did I suck it up!!  :)  It was a lot harder to hit the clay than I thought it was going to be.  Despite how horrible I am, I still had a great time!!  I'm so glad the boys let me tag along!!
