Ragnar Relay Legs

I got my legs that I'm running in the Ragnar Relay today and I'm so excited!! I think I got one of the best and easiest sets of the whole race!! Training starts on Monday and I'm pretty excited to start getting the mileage in! Who knew I'd ever be excited to start running :)

My first leg is 5.1 miles

My second leg is 4.2 miles

My third and final leg is 3.8 miles

Congratulations Katie!

Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment Kates! I'm so glad I was able to be home for it and also be home for your graduation party!! I feel like it was yesterday that you told me you were going back to school to get your Masters and now I can't believe that the day has already come and gone. You are an amazing example to me and many others! Congrats again! Love ya!

Sledding

Saturday night me, Kallie, Kyle and Holly went to Rock Canyon Park to go sledding. I probably go sledding at least once a winter, but this winter has taken the cake for sledding fun! :) We all started going down the hill by ourselves, but then we started doing two people at a time

Then we got bored with that so I went on my stomach

But what fun is that when you're going down on your stomach all by yourself? So Kallie and I thought we'd try going down together on our stomachs. I laughed so hard as shes yelling shes about to bail because there was a bump and she didn't want to go over it with me.

THEN, we thought we'd try 3 people. This was even more hilarious going down the hill!! Kallie is yelling that she is going to bail before we hit the bump and is yelling at Holly to bail also. We were all laughing so hard. Thanks for such a fun night with lots of laughs Kallie, Kyle and Holly!!

Fraud

I should have sold my camera to a guy that called and wanted to negotiate the price. I had two other people that would pay more, so I told the guy that wanted to negotiate that I sold it to someone else. We'll the two that gave me the higher price were both fraud. Thank goodness I never sent the camera off! I was so mad!! So if anyone is interested in a camera, let me know! :)

California Weather??

I miss California a lot, especially during the winter!! I love the California warm weather and I really can never get enough of it. So who would have thought California could have had the weather that it did yesterday? I had a free moment at work so I thought I'd check Facebook. All of my California friends had a status about a tornado and flooding. I immediately called my mom to see what the heck this was all about. She said that the tornado had just hit the Seal Beach area and that the Pier, Main Street and PCH in Huntington Beach had been evacuated. I was just waiting for her to tell me she was being evacuated since she is about a mile from those areas. I then talked to my sister and she sent me a message saying that there were people kayaking down the middle of the street in Long Beach because the streets were so flooded. I think for the first time in my life I was grateful for the 37 degree weather and snow in my life :) Here are a few pictures of Seal Beach and Long Beach yesterday. Shallow Guys

There are usually no downfalls to having mostly guy friends, but I learned tonight there is at least one! One of the downfalls of having your closest friends guys, is that you get to hear conversations like the one I did tonight. You get to hear how shallow they really are. They only want the skinny girls, they only want the girls that look like Barbie, they cant have a bad nose and if your friend wants to hook you up with them and they don't think the girl is cute, then why even give her a chance? I started getting mad during this talk because I can't believe someone wouldn't give a girl a chance just because they aren't initially attracted to them. Yes I agree some attraction needs to be there, buts its AMAZING what a personality will do!! I go after a guy for their personality and not their looks. I have been on more than one date where the guy has become cuter to me at the end of the night than he was at the beginning of the date because of who he was. So I guess I just don't understand, AT ALL why these guys have to be so shallow. It also bugs me because I am not a Barbie, so that means a guy wont give me a chance because of that. I have never been Barbie and will never be Barbie. After all this talk, it really made me question setting up any of these guys with some amazing girls that I know!

Sea Creatures Game 1

This afternoon was my first intertube water polo game for the season. Our team this year is a little bit different due to a girl being out pregnant and one of the guys moving away, but we still seemed to dominate!! We KILLED the other team 34-4 and had a blast doing it :) Steve and I had the first two goals to start off the game and both had many more throughout the rest of the game. Last year we went to the championship playoffs, but lost. I'm hoping this year we can get farther! Good Luck Sea Creatures!!

Girls Lunch/Dinner Group

This picture was taken months ago at one of our monthly girls lunches. I look forward to getting together with these girls and I cannot wait for our next get together next week! Missy was one of my managers when I worked at Fidelity and I have met Ashlee and Claire through Missy. I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun these girls are and how much I adore them!! I hope Tuesday rolls around fast! :)

I love Craigslist

YAY!! My camera sold today! The guy is even giving me $50 extra dollars to take it off of Craigslist today so that no one else can call about it!! I'm so excited!!

As we all know from an earlier post, I just got a new camera. I have loved every second of my new camera so thought it was time to sell my old 35mm. I thought somone else could enjoy this one. I always have a great time when we go to Power Progressive Tumbling. A few of us went this weekend and I don't know if I've ever laughed as hard at this place as I did this weekend. I was so entertained watching people in what I call the Human Hamster Wheel. It was a ton of fun! Thanks Steve for putting it together!

Great Friends!

I just love and adore these two girls. I had such a great time with them yesterday and hope we get more time together soon! They totally made my day great just by sitting around, laughing and talking!

Who Knew?

Who knew Disney's Scene It could be so intense. Whenever we play this game, we never know who yelled the answer first since we all yell at the same time. This video doesn't do it justice AT ALL, but it still shows how competitive we all are :) Just think this x10 and that's what it usually sounds like when we play this game. I love game nights at our place!

Kallie's Birthday

Today is my roommate's birthday. I had two surprises planned for her, but as we all know, I am a HORRIBLE liar, so I was worried about the surprises getting ruined. I think we pulled off her 2 surprises really well though! Happy Birthday Kal!Megan was her first surprise. Megan drove up from St. George just to surprise Kallie and be here for her birthdayKallie got a HUGE root beer float since it was her birthdayI did a surprise party for her after dinner. I think she was surprised. What do you think? :)Such gangsters! :)

The Human Jungle Gym

I was over at Doug and Heather's on Sunday and I became the human jungle gym. The kids were absolutely cracking me up. After they were done attacking me, they were wrestling with each other, which was hilarious! I just love these two!

New Years 2010

This New Years Eve was probably the most laid back New Years I've ever had. Since Provo is a college town, there is NO ONE in town from before Christmas to after New Years. So, the few of us that were in town went out together. We first went to dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse that was pretty awesome, then we went bowling, and then back to my place for dessert and to watch the ball drop. We all got in our pjs and when the clock struck midnight we all toasted to the new year and had some good laughs!
