Zumba is the new popular class around here. Kallie keeps bugging me to go, but since I'm not a dancer I always have an excuse not to go. I told her I would go with her tonight and I'm glad I did. At first I felt so dumb trying to keep up with everyone, but then I was able to relax and have some fun. Its a really fun class and would recommend it to everyone!

Cactus and Desert Totus Survey
I've been out on surveys for my company before, but I've never done a survey like the one I did in Virgin, Utah. They are going to be putting in a cell phone tower down there and we had to make sure there were no desert tortus' or a certain kind of cactus where they are going to put the tower. When I've gone out on surveys with the archaeologist I've basically walked straight lines on flat ground. This survey didn't know what flat ground was. I wish the picture below really gave the terrain more justice. I ended up getting in a nice workout!
For the survey we had to walk straight lines along the project area and then we had to do three circles around the project area. The big circle was 2.5 miles and then the other two got a little smaller the closer we were to the project site. Usually this would be no problem, but with walking up and down and at times climbing rock in 100 degree weather for 4 hours, I was exhausted by the end!
I've never been out with a biologist/botanist before, so this survey was a good learning experience for me! I also loved that Lynda, who I went out with, was more than willing to take the time to teach me more about the survey. She gave me the GPS and told me to follow the lines and she would survey behind me. We had to take a couple points (basically notes on a certain spot) and she taught me how to do that as well, so I was completely in charge of the GPS while she did everything else. I loved how much I was able to learn on this survey!

Def Leppard Concert
Last night was the Def Leppard concert and I absolutely loved it!! Cheap Trick and Poison opened for Def Leppard and they were pretty good as well. I think I was the most excited about Cheap Trick, but they were the ones that I was the least impressed with. Def Leppard, on the other hand, they were awesome!! They put on a great concert!
We started on the grass and then one of the guys that worked there let us move down to seats which were SOO much better!
Our new seats!!

Horseback Riding
I don't think I have EVER passed up an opportunity to go horse back riding. Doug's co-worker has some horses and was nice enough to let us come ride them for a little bit last week. The kids loved it and I also loved it!!

Quick Trip Home
My Aunt called me a few months ago and asked if she flew me home if I would drive back to Utah with her and her 4 kids. Of course I couldn't pass up an opportunity to go home! The trip was very very quick, but I had a lot of fun. I flew in on Thursday night and left on Saturday morning. Friday we went to a newer water park in La Mirada that was a lot of fun! We spent most of the day there and all of the kids had a great time. Even though the trip was really short it was still a lot of fun to be home!

Daybreak Triathlon?
I went swimming with Missy and Krissy yesterday morning, who are training for the Daybreak Triathlon. They told me to do the tri with them, but I told them there was no way I'd be ready by September 19th. They told me it was a sprint triathlon so I could totally do it. I kept telling them no because I really didn't think there was anyway I would be ready in time to do it.
That afternoon I went to lunch with a couple of girls and one of them is also doing the Daybreak tri. She said she has a 2 month training program that would get me ready in time and that I should totally do it. I'm two weeks behind the training schedule so I would need to catch up and really work hard to get in shape in time. I don't know if I'm going to do it or not because I really don't know if I could be ready in time or not. Anyone out there done a sprint tri? Can I really be ready in 6 weeks??

Finger Painting
Last night I was planning on going over to Doug and Heather's to help Doug with moving a new freezer into their house. We'll when I talked to Doug about it and told him I was on my way, he told me it was done and to come over anyway because he was going to make a Castle for the kids out of the freezer box. Doug and I both started wrapping the box with paper and realized that things would get done faster if I just took the kids in the other room and played with them while Doug wrapped the box. Doug did a great job and had the castle ready in no time. It was so much fun to watch how excited both the kids where and how much fun they had painting. It was such a great idea! The paint that I had all over me at the end was totally worth it! Even Doug and I enjoyed ourselves! :)

Happy Birthday to my AMAZING and WONDERFUL Grandma Cash! She is the most loving, thoughtful, and caring person I know! I love calling and talking to her on the phone when I have a free moment. She always puts a smile on my face and makes me feel so spacial. I would put a picture of her on here, but she absolutely HATES having her picture taken so I don't have a ton of her. Plus the few that I just found to put on here, I'm sure she wouldn't like anyway, so for her birthday I'll leave a picture off :) I hope you have a fantastic birthday Grandma! I LOVE YOU!!!!

REALLY?!?!?!?
I'm finally starting to enjoy the online thing a little more. Ok, so today is really the only day that I've been excited about it because I've gotten the most hits to my profile than I've ever had in a week put together and I've gotten some e-mails from a couple of guys. I had a guy e-mail me that seemed like he would be pretty fun, so I e-mailed him back. After a couple of e-mails he asked me for more pictures of me since at this moment I only have one up. He then says "What about pics of tickle or pillow fights in your underwear?" REALLY?!?!?!? That is one reason why I didn't want to get online. I got on an LDS dating website to try and get rid of things like that. Needless to say he never heard back from me and my first impression about him totally changed. So annoying!

Stressed and Overwhelmed
For the past week things have been pretty hard for me. I couldn't figure out why I having such a hard week. I would try and keep myself so busy so that I wouldn't think about life, but then I got so overwhelmed and so stressed that it did not help the problem. So much for that, huh?!
Today I went to lunch with my friend Missy and I cannot even begin to explain how much help it was! She hit a few things right on the head that I was pretty much in denial about and also gave me a lot of great advice. I'm so grateful for such great friends and the stress reliever they are! :) I had a breakdown on my way back to work and just needed to release some more stress and emotions.
Doug and Heather invited me to their Ward party tonight which was nice to have some time with them and also get my mind off of things. After the party I was going to go home, but then I got the cutest call from Elizabeth telling me that she really wanted me to go to their house, so of course I could not pass that up! Doug and I ended up doing dry ice bombs, which were awesome! They were so loud that I'm sure we woke up a few neighbors! :) Thank you Doug, Heather, Elizabeth, and Andrew also for making my night better. Also, thanks for the gold fish, that I'm sure Brigham is now enjoying more than I ever could have :)
I'm hoping this week will get better and it will be better than last week! Hopefully all the stress of life will calm down a little! Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Excited to have Stephen back
My brother is moving back to Utah in the next few weeks and I'm so excited!! He's going to be living in the same building as me, just on the back side. It's going to be so much fun having him so close and in the same Ward again. I used to live with him and really enjoyed it. I really missed having him around, even though before he left I hardly ever saw him. Now, our next goal is to get Justin up here :)
