Ward Halloween Party
My Ward had their Halloween Party today and me and my roomies tied for the Condo Theme award. We were all fairies. I was supposed to be Tinker Bell, but I'm not sure you can tell, so I'll just go with a fairy. I ordered the costume online and I must be taller than the model because the costume wasnt very short on her, but it was on me!! I tried to find pink leggings, but did you know NO ONE carries pink leggings unless they are hot pink? So I had to go with the white. I'm not too sure about how I feel about this costume, but I'm not going to spend more money on another one, so I'll just have to deal :)

Colorado River Canoe Trip
My dad is in the Bishopric of a singles ward in Huntington Beach, which does a lot of fun
activities. My dad invited me to go on their last trip and I loved it!! We all met in Nevada and canoed 6 miles down the Colorado River. We started at the Hoover Dam and my first canoe buddy was Justin. We had a lot of fun and it was awesome to get to spend some time with him since I don't see him very often.

We had a lot of fun and it was awesome to get to spend some time with him since I don't see him very often. Our first stop was about 100 yards down the river. We stopped at this Sauna cave and that is sure what it was. We walked in about 2 feet and started sweating it was so bad. It was almost to the point where it was really hard to breath. Some people couldn't handle it and didn't even go in all the way. I tried to take a picture in the cave, but my lens fogged up instantly. After the cave, I went back to my canoe and changed my shoes for a 1.5 mile hike. I would actually call most of it a climb instead of a hike. At parts of this hike we actually had to use rope to get up onto the next rock.
I would post a picture of me climbing one of the rocks, but I don't have all the pictures yet, so I'll just post what I have. At the top of this hike we came to two hot springs that were really nice. We all swam around there and then hiked back down to our canoes. After our hike and having lunch we headed down to where we were going to camp for the night. The river was really fast that day for some reason so we had to go through some rapids where I thought for sure Justin and I were going to tip. It was pretty hilarious watching Justin fly up in the air and then come down and have a whole bunch of 52
degree water come over the front of the canoe right onto Justin's lap. I was really happy to be in the back of the canoe at that point :) After we got everything set up at camp we went cliff jumping. I think we decided the cliff was between about 30-40 feet and it was a blast to jump off of. The water was freezing and I lost my breath when I hit the water, but the jump was fun! I don't have the picture of me jumping, but here is some of us waiting for our turns to jump. After jumping into the freezing cold water we went to some hot springs that were REALLY hot. They were almost too hot. It took me forever to get more than just my feet in because of how hot they
were. It was nice just to sit, relax, and enjoy everyones company though. We didn't last long in this hot spring because of the heat so we headed back to camp not long after.

I see pictures of petroglyphs all the time with the kind of work I'm in, but I've never actually seen a petroglyph in person before. I am amazed at how far back these go and how you can still see them on the rocks. On the way back from our hike we stopped to do some bouldering. I didnt do any because I got rocks in my shoes, that I was wearing with no socks, so they kept rubbing the bottom of my feet to give me blisters. Luckily that was the last hike of the day/trip or else I would have been disappointed! We had 3 miles to canoe the second day, so after the hike we packed up and headed down the river.
The trip was a lot of fun and I cant wait to do it again!! Thanks so much to the Seacliff Ward for letting me tag along! It was an awesome trip and I met some really nice people. Cant wait to come home and visit!

Let the game begin..
I'm so excited!!! I was told today that water polo practices start next week. I wish I was in better shape, but I guess I'm in the best shape I can be in right now. I've been swimming a lot and tonight I will really work myself before the practices start. We'll start practicing 3 days a week and go from there!! I cant wait to get my butt kicked back into shape and for the games to start!

Happy Birthday Dougie!
Happy Birthday to my wonderful cousin!! Tonight for his birthday we carved the pumpkin that they chose out at the pumpkin patch and then had homemade apple pie that Heather made. It was AWESOME! Thanks for letting me come over and spend the night with you guys!! It was a lot of fun!

Haunted Forest

This past weekend a lot of us from the ward went to the Haunted Forest. It was so much fun! I cant believe how many people showed up. There were probably about 30 of us and it was a blast!! I got chased about 3 times with a chain saw, had fire blasted at my feet, and of course had a ton of people jump out at me. I love stuff like this and hopefully I'll get to go again before the end of October.

Pumpkin Patch
Today I went with Heather, Doug, Elizabeth, Andrew, Kayla and Shelby to the pumpkin patch. I have never been to a pumpkin patch, well not that I remember, and it was a lot of fun! We walked around and got to pick out our own pumpkins and Elizabeth did a fun little hay maze. The weather was perfect today! We couldn't have picked a better day to go!

The Richfield Kiss??!!
For the past few days I've been gone for work. I have the WEIRDEST story for you all :) Me and my co-worker Amber left for Price and Richfield on Wednesday morning. We had to go to Price first to do a File Search then we drove over to Richfield and spent the night there so we could do two file searches. First of all the day started off with me and Amber getting breakfast at the hotel and some people gossiping about our company. Amber and I were both wearing our SWCA sweatshirts so we took them off and kind of listened to what they were talking about. :)Amber had a VERY good point as we were listening to these guys talk trash, she said you never know who is going to be around when you gossip. I never thought about that and its so true! You never know! After breakfast it was off to the Forest Service where we had our first file search. We were working a guy named Bob who was pretty funny! He introduced us to Chris just in case we needed any help with anything because Bob had to leave. Chris was really funny and we were all joking around before getting any work done. I had to go copy some reports so I left Amber and went into their copy room. After being in there for a few minutes Chris came walking up to me, got in my face and acted like he was going to kiss me. I moved back and looked at him weird. I also started giggling because I seem to giggle when I'm uncomfortable. He walked away and said "scared ya didn't I?" I told him he did. About 30 minutes later he walked back into the room, got really close to me again and pretended like he was going to kiss me again. I looked down at him, and I guess when you look down at someone it means you'd kiss them back...at least in Chris' world because he stopped and said "you'd kiss me back!" I looked at him with a confused look on my face and said "you don't know me! You wouldn't kiss me so get out of here" I guess Chris took that as a challenge or something, which I did NOT mean it to be, so he grabbed my face, kissed me on the lips, and walked out of the room. I didn't know what to say. I stood there speechless!!! WHAT THE HECK?!?!? I told Amber what had happened and she couldn't believe it. Chris later invited me and Amber to go to lunch, but we couldn't because we had so much work to do. We left while he was still at lunch and I will probably never see him in my life again. How RANDOM is that?!?! And who the heck does that?!?! Anyway, that is my weird story of the week!!!

The Spazmatics
Winter is beginning
Look closely and you'll see SNOW! I can't believe that its starting to snow already!! I'm not ready for the winter! I'm such a California girl (yes I know, so why don't I move back?!) and Ienjoy the warm weather and the beach. I love the snow when I can ski and play in it and then go back home to the warm weather. I guess its time to start pulling out all the winter clothes!

BYU vs New Mexico
My aunt gave me her football tickets for the BYU vs New Mexico game because it was supposed to be very cold and there was a possibility it would snow on us. The game ended up being pretty nice until the 4th quarter where it got REALLY cold. Me, Erikka and Whitney had a really good time and saw a ton of people we knew. Thank you Kristin and Jamie for the tickets!! We had a blast!

Huntington Beach
I love that my parents don't live across the country and that I'm able to go home a lot!! There were a couple of different reasons I went home this weekend and I'm so glad I did!! One, because one of my co-workers and her family were staying at my parents. Two, to be home for Jess and Scott and to attend the funeral of Clayton. Three, Mady was going to homecoming, and Four because I just wanted to be home :) I was only supposed to be home Friday-Sunday, but I worked it out and stayed until Tuesday. I'm so glad I did because I had such a great time spending time with my family and friends!
The weather was awesome...except this day. It was overcast, but wasnt cold, so of course we had to spend some time at the beach!
After I did Mady's hair and make-up for Homecoming. She looked beautiful! I can't believe she'll be 16 next month!
Enjoying the nice weather and going on a bike ride around HB
Having lunch on the pier
Got to love shakes at Rubys on the Pier! Some of the family after having dinner together
