Update

These past few weeks have been so crazy for me that I haven't had time to even log on. I will post pictures soon of the past few weeks and all the fun things that have gone on around here. My newest news is that I will soon be an owner of a Nissan Altima. My Honda Accord died on me this past week, but its been such a great car!! I got it right after I graduated from high school and it had 288,000 miles on it, so it was time. Here are pictures of my new car!! :) A lot of people think I'm crazy, but I am STOKED that I found a car that I really like and its stick!! I can't wait to pick it up on Monday!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful, amazing, and loving sister!! I can't believe she's all grown up, married and now a mom!! She is such a great example to me and I'm so glad that we could be so close!! I can't even begin to describe how much I love this girl! We always have so much fun together and have MANY inside jokes!! Christmas and Oranges being two of my favorites ;)

We all know I am a picture freak, so I'll try not to post very many, but here are some pictures of Kelly over the past few years. She might kill me for some of them, but they totally show off what a great personality she has. Some people think she is pretty quiet...and then they get to know her :) She amazes me with how witty she is!! She always puts a smile on my face. I LOVE YOU ELLY-KAY! :)

I was just listening to the Wicked soundtrack, which is awesome, and this song has really hit me hard. For those of you who have not seen the Broadway Wicked, you really need to! Its an fantastic Broadway, probably my favorite of all that I have seen!! As I was listening to this, there are a few people who came to my mind, but one in particular. This person has been on my mind a lot lately! I will leave this person nameless so I don't embarrass them, but just thought I'd post the words to the song. I really am who I am today because of people who have been in my life. So thank you to all who have been in my life and for helping me become who I am today...especially my parents!!

2 days of surprises!!

My friend Stephanie was coming up to visit me this weekend and when I got to the airport to pick up her up, Katie came up behind me and scared the crap out of me. I was SO surprised to see her and very excited that she was there!! I had no idea that she was coming at all!! When Katie scared me I took a huge gasp and people started staring at me wondering what was going on :) Katie and Stephanie have had this planned for over a month and they were able to keep it a secret from me last week when I was home. I don't know how they did it because if it were me, I would have been too excited to keep it a secret! I have the best friends ever!! I cannot even begin to explain how much these girls made my weekend!! I needed this weekend SO bad! I think we all laughed until we cried several times a day! I got the best ab workout this weekend! I'm surprised we all don't have 6 packs! :) Thank you Katie and Stephanie for such a great weekend! I had a blast!

The Hairy Fairy

I had to take a minute to write a blog even though I'm pretty busy because something like this can NEVER be forgotten! Two of my co-workers and myself have a joke that when they are bringing something to the office, they need to find and bring me a man! Well, today my wish came true...but not exactly how I had imagined it. I was working in the lab and Chelsea called to see if I was back there and she was going to come back and talk to me. I really didn't think anything about it, until I saw the Hairy Fairy Godfather. I had NO idea what was going on and kept asking, but all I could really do was laugh. This was probably one of the best Valentines gifts I have EVER gotten!! Thank you to Katie Stevens, Kallie Barker, Liz Robinson, Deb Jensen, Tanya Johnson, Chelsea Udell, Elisha Horning, Linda Burrfit and to my Mom! You guys are the best and you all seriously made my day!!! Chelsea got the whole thing on tape, so when she transfers it to CD and to YouTube, I will let all of you know!!

Expensive Morning

Last night as I was leaving work my car started making this funny noise and kind of started to drive funny. After talking to Curtis about my car, I thought I'd try and make it home and if needed he could come pick me up on the side of the freeway :) My car seemed to be doing okay until I got about a half a mile away from home, then the noise and the way my car was driving got worse. This morning I took it into a shop and found out that I have about $550 of work to be done on my car. I had to rent a car so I could get to work this morning and the cheapest car I could find was $40. I would have stayed home, but I had this past Monday off and I have Friday off, so I couldn't take today off as well. Oh the joys of the real world! I sometimes wonder when I was 15 why I wanted to grow up so bad! :)

Aubrey's Baby Blessing

I am so glad that my family doesn't live that far from me! This past weekend I went home for Aubrey's baby blessing. I'm so glad I was able to be there for it!! Aubrey was blessed in the same dress that my Aunt Kristin, Aunt Kathy, Me, Kelly, Mady, and 4 of my younger cousins were blessed in. I loved being home and loved my time with the family!

My Dad

Ok, so why I'm really posting something...I just had to write a blog about how wonderful my dad is!! I got home today and checked the mail to find I had something from my dad. I love getting mail (that isnt a bill) so I was pretty excited! When I opened my mail I was even more excited!! :) My dad sent me some gift certificates, that will for sure be put to good use, just because he was thinking about me. How amazing is my dad?! I hope I find someone just like him to marry!!! This is really short, but I just had to post something about how amazing my dad is! :)

Snowshoeing

My friend and co-worker, Chelsea, who I love to death, set me up on a blind date this past weekend. She set me up with Matt, who she used to swim and play water polo with. She thought we would have a good time together and be a good match. Me and Matt doubled with Chelsea and her husband Quynn, and for our date we went snowshoeing. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed snowshoeing...and of course my date! Ü We went snowshoeing in American Fork Canyon and the weather was perfect! Actually, it was too perfect!! I was wearing snowboarding pants with long johns underneath and a long sleeved shirt. I hope to do this again and when I do, if the weather is anything like it was on Saturday, I'm wearing a short sleeved shirt and I'm not wearing long johns! Matt wore shorts under his pants and about 1 mile into the 6 mile (round trip) hike, he was in his shorts. I must admit, I was a little jealous! Ü

When we got to mile 3 of the hike we were at the bottom of Silver Lake and to get to the top we had to hike/climb a pretty steep hill. I wish the picture did the hill justice!! If it weren't for our snow shoes, there is no way we would have made it to the top!! We would have been slipping all over the place!! Once on top of Silver Lake, we sat down and had lunch. The view on top of the lake was amazing!! We had a great time hanging out and laughing and then it was time to head back down the mountain. I must admit, that was probably one of the best dates I've been on in a while....Oh wait...that is the only date I've been on in a while Ü Thanks Chelsea, Quynn and Matt for such a great day!
