Favorite YW Activities

Being a Young Women's advisor is one of the most fun and rewarding callings I've ever had.  The more and more I get to know the girls the more and more I just love and adore them.  Tonight we were talking about what we could do for our weekly Wednesday activities.  We came up with a list of some good ideas, but are always looking for more.  If you were ever in YW or you were a leader in YW, what were your favorite activities?  Also, what were your favorite service activities?  We're looking to plan the next 6 months and need as many ideas as possible.

Our girls colored, cut, and laminated (with clear contact paper) picture/object lessons for the nursery. (printed from oooollllllddd subscriptions from the friend.) the best activity we did was combine YM/YW. The leaders asked about 15 return missionaries to come prepared on a mutual night to share about ther mission:why they want, experiences they had spiritual and fun ones, what they learned, how they prepared etc they each decorated their own room, brought in things from their mission and shared a food from their mission. They each bore their testimony in he language they served in. We had not and girl RM's :) We did a back to school one too, bought packs of the inexpensive binder dividers and brought in magazines, ensigns, quotes etc ad had them collage on he dividers sonnet would be remindeds each period about the gospel etc. those are the ones that come to mind. Oh we haw a lady in the ward who knows sign language, she taught the girls how to sign a hymn. Hope this helps!
